Bamboo grows super quickly. This means that when bamboo is harvested, it can be replanted and takes less time to grow back than other plants like, cotton. This means that more material can be produced with less time and without consequences in quality.
Bamboo self-irrigates, so it consumes less water than other plants. This water can then be used for other purposes, like human consumption or food and other organic material growth, a major benefit for areas in the world where bamboo is grown as a crop.
Bamboo produces more oxygen than other trees and can help reduce carbon dioxide levels. With growing population levels, carbon dioxide is becoming increasingly prevalent in the earth’s air. With increased oxygen production from bamboo, more oxygen can be pumped into the atmosphere to create a better balance of natural gases.
Cotton, among other fabric materials, is typically grown using a lot of pesticides to keep insects out of the crop, some of which can be hazardous to human health. Bamboo, on the other hand, uses less pesticides in its growth, so its growth/fabrication process is less harmful to the people who will be using the bedding or clothing made from it.
